xFusion FusionServer 2158H V8 2U One-Socket AMD Server

The xFusion FusionServer 2158H V8 is a 2U single-socket rack server built on AMD EPYC 9004 and 9005 processors. One CPU drives up to 192 cores and feeds either four dual-width GPUs or ten single-width GPUs, which gives a deliberately GPU-heavy ratio for AI inference, virtualisation, databases and big data analytics. Beijing Xinchuan Technology supplies it configured to order. The single-socket layout is the point of this model: it removes the cost of a second processor and its memory population while still providing ten PCIe 5.0 slots and enough GPU power and cooling for inference cards. For buyers who need the same GPU density but with two sockets, the 2258H V8 is the matching 2U platform. Cooling uses the MPC-PID…

Cooling uses the MPC-PID 2.0 control algorithm, which the vendor rates for stable operation above 50 °C ambient in suitably configured racks.

Frequently asked questions

How many GPUs can the 2158H V8 take?

The chassis supports four dual-width GPUs plus one dual-width DPU, or ten single-width GPUs, all fed from a single AMD EPYC processor.

Which AMD processors are supported?

Both the 4th Gen AMD EPYC 9004 (Genoa) and the 5th Gen AMD EPYC 9005 (Turin) series are supported, with up to 192 cores and 500 W TDP.

Why choose a single-socket server for GPU workloads?

A single socket removes the cost of a second CPU and its DIMM population while still providing ten PCIe 5.0 slots and full GPU power and cooling. It suits inference and virtualisation nodes where GPU density matters more than CPU core count.

What power options are available?

Platinum AC units at 900 W, 1500 W and 2000 W; Titanium AC at 900 W, 2000 W and 3000 W; 1200 W -48 V DC; and 1500 W 380 V high-voltage DC. All are 1+1 redundant.

Does the 2158H V8 come new?

Yes. It is part of the current V8 generation and is supplied new, built to the ordered bill of materials.
