Three Rules for Read-Intensive SSDs

1. Monitor actual DWPD. At 0.2 DWPD, the drive outlasts its warranty 5x. At 0.9 DWPD, it hits its limit in 5.5 years. Use iDRAC/iBMC telemetry.

2. ATAQUE 10 for virtualization, ATAQUE 5 for read-mostly. VMware hosts benefit from RAID 10 write speed. CDN nodes at 90 percent reads can use RAID 5.

3. Over-provisioning is built in. Format at full capacity. Factory over-provisioning handles wear leveling.
