Measure your server depth before ordering the rack. A 900mm-deep GPU server requires a 1,100mm+ rack depth. The rear cable management space (the gap between the server rear and the rack rear door) needs at least 150mm for cable bend radius.
Airflow Design: The Perforation Percentage Matters
A rack with solid doors turns into an oven. A rack with 68 percent open-area perforated doors allows natural convection and supports up to 4 kW of air-cooled equipment per rack without forced airflow. For hot-aisle containment designs, the perforated front door draws cold air from the cold aisle and the perforated rear door exhausts into the hot aisle. Solid doors are for immersion-cooled racks or acoustic isolation — not for standard air-cooled servers.
