Three Rules for Read-Intensive SSDs
1. Monitor actual DWPD. At 0.2 ДВПД, the drive outlasts its warranty 5x. At 0.9 ДВПД, it hits its limit in 5.5 годы. Use iDRAC/iBMC telemetry.
2. RAID 10 for virtualization, RAID 5 for read-mostly. VMware hosts benefit from RAID 10 write speed. CDN nodes at 90 percent reads can use RAID 5.
3. Over-provisioning is built in. Format at full capacity. Factory over-provisioning handles wear leveling.
